Knights to Remember in Romantic Prague
For those seeking a romantic getaway, Prague, lyrically dubbed the "City of a Hundred Spires" for its many multi-spired churches, is the perfect destination. Prague is a center of culture, classical music and literary life, but what makes this city most memorable is the magical feeling it evokes, as if something unusual is about to play-out and you are at center stage.
The magic begins in Old Town Square in Staré Mesto, Prague's Old Town, an ideal place to start your visit. Morning fog creeps over the cobblestone pavement, sending wispy tentacles coiling up against the medieval buildings lining the square, and you feel as if you've stepped back in time.
You hear the clatter of horses' hooves and hold your breath. Wil it be dashing Heath Ledger from the movie A Knight's Tale? A tourist-toting horse-and -carriage returns to the square, and you realize it doesn't matter; it's the feeling itself that counts.
In reality, the idea of movie stars appearing in Old Town Prague is not that far fetched. Time and again film makers choose this city for its 900-year-old, well-preserfed architecture.
